Oolong Teas
Vietnamese-style Oolong has a fresher taste and more delicate fragrance, while still giving you the rich
flavor characteristic of fine Oolong teas. Our new tea provider, Tam Chau, has three delicious
Oolong teas that epitomize the Vietnamese Oolong tea.
Tam Chau Flower Oolong
This top-quality Oolong tea, similar to Formosa's Oolong 18, begins as tightly-folded tea buds, each containing two or three leaves. When brewed, they unfold, origami-like, into charming tea flowers floating in a lovely jade-green cup.
This lightly-fermented Oolong has a fresher, more delicate taste than most Oolongs, and will appeal both to lovers of Oolong and those who usually prefer classic green tea. Its flavor and aroma develop in your mouth to give three distinct experiences: the initial sip, then the mouth-filling flavor, and finally the lovely and persistent aftertaste.
Tam Chau Oolong Tea Bags
Our first oolong tea that comes in teabags! This oolong tea is robust and smooth, moderately aged for an amber-colored cup. This is as close as possible to the flavor of a premium loose-leaf tea, with the convenience and portability of a teabag. It's attractively packaged in its foil-imprinted box, making it an excellent gift.
Tam Chau Organic Oolong Tea Bags
Certified organic oolong tea! This Vietnamese-style oolong is lightly "oolonged" just enough to soften and smooth the flavor of the delicate green tea. It produces a golden-colored brew with a complex aroma. It's also in teabags for added convenience.
Oolong Tea Combo
This combo pack lets you try all three of our premium Vietnamese Oolong teas for 40% off the combined retail price! If you're curious about Oolong, even if you think Oolong isn't your favorite, we encourage you to try this selection. Vietnamese-style Oolong is very different from the usual Chinese-style: It is less-processed, for a fresher taste, lighter color, and delicate fragrance, while still offering the richness of flavor characteristic of fine Oolong. This selection of teas offers an ultra-premium Flower Oolong in a vacuum-packed bag for special occasions, a box of regular Oolong teabags for everyday convenience, and a bag of organic Oolong teabags, too.
